Responsibilities

 
  • Oversee development of Commodity Strategy(ies) within scope and assure supplier convergence and VA/VE opportunities are progressed
  • Responsible for delivery of purchasing budget, updating forecast, reporting monthly savings activities
  • Monitor, assess, and provide feedback to Buyers to ensure continued professional development of team
  • Participate or lead strategic supplier management reviews
  • Identify and lead departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Other duties and specific projects as identified to support commercial and supplier optimization as well as support internal stakeholders
  • Participate or lead monthly Purchasing performance review with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor strategic supplier QCD performance; facilitate and lead performance improvement action plans
  • Interface between department and Operations or Commercial Business Unit.
  • Review and approve purchase orders within delegation of authority responsibility
  • Investigate commodity/supplier benchmarks, follow market trends for specific commodities and raw materials
  • Oversight of the preparation and deployment of Commodity Strategies & Cost Models for various commodities

 

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor' s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 6 years' of automotive industry experience
  • 4 years' of Purchasing function
